We’ve all heard the term broadband for years now, but what does that even mean? The term broadband came into being when the world of internet switched from dial-up—or narrowband—to a faster internet connection capacity.8Mb Broadband Guide8mbbroadband(dot)com

The Now Show will never lose it's humor. BT will never provide the service they say they will. Unfortunately I have BT broadband, and when I was watching a YouTube video, a BT advert came on and stopped every three seconds to buffer, but the gist of the advert seemed to be 'superfast broadband'. Really? I don't see any, and it's not our area that's slow as we have asked neighbors, and their speeds are normal (they don't have BT). 100kb/s is nowhere near 20mb/s, so they can crawl into a monopoli

@supercokey you ordered a homehub? your already screwed. my advice is to do whatever you can to cancel your bt order now and get another provider who actually deliver what they say they will. BT broadband is a scam, if you think your gonna get 2,8 or 20 MB think again because 90% of the day your using it, it will be less than 0.5MB.

BT are a total nightmare. I'm trying to change broadband provider (to a much cheaper one) and BT are doing everything in their power to make it difficult for me. I don't owe them any money & I'm not tied to any contract. They're just being so unhelpful. Every time I call them, instead of doing something about it, I get the hard sell and persuaded to stay with them. Then after they've not helped me, they ask if there is anything else they can help me with. Sharp practice company. Avoid them!!

BT are a rip off and give you a truly shit service, not worth the hassle.

I've been with the same dial-up/broadband company for a decade and I've had fewer than maybe two or three problems over that expanse. My always-on service is funnily enough, always on. Thank Christ for Virgin Media.

@supercokey Don't panic. They come with a step-by-step guide to help you set it up. I managed to set mine up following the instructions and I'm a computer idiot!
